您相信嗎?一堆碎布、一塊木板、一點黏膠,原本廢棄無用的垃圾,經一點巧思、加點創意及藝術靈感的組合,竟能變成一幅幅生動美麗而栩栩如生,如同油畫般的作品。
凌渝英女士,1939年次,出生於重慶市,來台就讀台北市大安國小,學業成績優異,陸續就讀台北市立第一女子中學初、高中、國立政冶大學企管系;畢業後擔任公務員工作卅餘年,退休後仍然熱心公益,積極從事社會婦女社團服務工作,更屢次代表婦女團體在國際發聲,為中華民國做足國民外交。
繪畫是凌女士的興趣,早期曾拜師金勤伯,喻仲林、盛元芳老師研習國畫。李焜培教授學習水彩、何肇衢老師學習油畫、對中西畫均有涉獵。
在1981年初為了搬家,佈置新屋,凌女士隨意將一堆碎布及一塊木板、不經意間組合拼貼成一幅色彩鮮豔看似油畫般的作品:水蓮。這是凌女士第一幅布畫創作的開始,由於水蓮創作的啟迪,凌女士開啟新的創作的方式及領域。同時也開拓了更廣闊的藝術發展空間。
凌女士各式各樣題材作品的布畫在國內外己展出數十次、深獲各界好評。凌女士的作品讓廢棄物亦可以化腐朽為神奇,創造出無窮的美麗;凌女士希望自己的作品能帶給觀賞者全新的感受與體驗,甚至正面的鼓舞,在心靈上富足我們的幸福人生。
Introduction to sophia Ling and Her Cloth Painting
Can you believe it? Apile of rags, a piece of wood, some glue~~~~rubbish is tumed useful with the combination of creativity and inspiration added. The raw materials become a variety of lively works resembiling oil-paintings.
Sophia Ling, the cloth painting artist, was born in Chian in 1939. She graduated from the National Cheng Chi Universty in Taipei. After dedicating herself for over 30 years as a govemment official, she now serves as president of the ROC Pan-Pacific and Southeast Asia Women”s Associathion.She is also the founding artist for the cloth painting.
The cloth painting was initiated by Sophia Ling in 1981. During relocation. She put some rags and a liece of wood togerher at random to render a colorful picture which resembled an oil-painting. This artifact entitled “The Water Lilies” started a new realm of creativity for Sophia Ling. It also provided her with broader space of artistic development.
The collected works of cloth painting by Sophia Ling hace been on display domestically and abroad for over 40 times. The topics encompass men and objects. From still to dynamic, from precise to abstract, Sophia Ling created hundreds of cloth paintings which earned her the acclaim of vatious circles. The viewers.The viewers were surprised that these colorful and lively works resembiling oil-paintings were made in rags. Eithout hints, it was hard to notice that rags were applied as materials on canvases.Sophia Ling not only bestoes vitality on rubbish, but also enables truth, righteousness and beauty to dance in accordance to rhythm on the drawing board. Amazing and refreshing, her works inspire the environmentalists with a new way of thinking by turning the renounced into the miraculous.
